I was invited to an assessment day. There were 3 of us I the interview and it was quite telling that this company struggles to recruit people because the other candidates were really inexperienced. I had to use a walking stick because I had injured my back in the gym , I lost count of the times I was anxiously asked if it was permanent, even by HR. Obviously not a company for people with limited mobility.
We did a number of exercises by the second exercise I had decided this was not the ace for me, this was role play I was supposed to be demonstrating a solution to the team. They were not supportive at all, which is what I would expect and seemed to be taking an aggressive approach. I was the only candidated to make it through the second stage and got to meet the rest of the team. Not impressed, some people acting like they are Gods rather than middle management in a small software house. Avoid avoid. I keep getting calls for jobs here, nothing could persuade me to work here. Horrible culture.
