The first stage was an informal, quick video-free call with a recruiter, which felt more like an initial screening. The second interview was with the Fair Director and was much more thorough, we went in depth into my experience, skills, and knowledge. It was a positive conversation overall and left me excited about the opportunity. However, after a few weeks with no update, I followed up with the Director (no reply) and the recruiter and was eventually told they wouldn’t be progressing my application, without any feedback, despite me asking more than once. It left me with the impression that the process may have been a formality and that they already had someone in mind for the role. That’s the kind of environment it felt like in the end, which was disappointing after such an encouraging interview.
