      You interview with various individuals and then they take you to lunch. You interview with individuals at different levels in the firm. Then there is a take home test. You have one week to complete the test and you can reach out if you have questions for guidance.

      Applied online, received a phone call to come in for a interview. The interview process was way too long(2hours). All the associates were very nice and everything was going well until I met with the owner of the company. He was very disrespectful to me and very arrogant. They give you a homework assignment at the end.

      Thank you for your review. We are sorry to hear that you did not feel the experience was a positive one. G-Squared prefers to have the candidate meet several individuals from different levels of the organization during the interview. While this may seem long and a bit arduous, we prefer to not require our candidates to come back for another interview which can be more burdensome to the candidate. The test covers some basic accounting functions that an individual will encounter in their first 6 months with the firm. We do not expect a perfect score on the test, just an average score to ascertain that the requisite accounting knowledge is solid and that an individual can follow some direction and ask questions. I apologize if you felt disrespected. I am sure that was not the intent but sometimes the owner may have only a small window of time to devote to a candidate and may have appeared brusque. We wish you success in your continued job search.

      I applied through Indeed.com. The HR woman called and immediately started firing questions before she made sure she was speaking to the right person. During the actual interview, the owner couldn't stop staring at my chest. Doesn't care what kind of work you can perform just if you're attractive.

      Thank you for your review. We are sorry to hear that you did not feel the experience was a positive one. However, we do feel that we should clarify our hiring process a bit. Our interview process is relatively extensive. It is important to us that we find candidates who understand that we are not just a typical accounting firm. We work with entrepreneurs, startups and venture backed companies, and we are looking for those unique candidates who possess not only the skills to be successful here, but an interest and passion for helping businesses succeed. The process does begin with an over the phone interview where we ask you to tell us about yourself, not what we can read on your resume, but who you are and what drives you. This helps us to get a sense of how you would fit into the organization culturally. Following the phone interview, we invite candidates to our office for multi-round interviews with many members of our team. Our team works closely and relies on each other to do the best job they can, so every single member of our team is involved in determining whether or not a candidate would be a quality addition. The final step in our process is to ask all candidates to complete a “homework assignment”, which is designed to give candidates a sense of the kind of work they would be expected to do, should they receive an offer, and allows us to determine whether or not they have the technical skills and drive we expect from all of our team members. That assignment is a key factor in our decision to make an offer to a candidate. We would also like to clarify that at the time of this posting, we had not received any of the assignments from the August interview candidates, as we give approximately one week for completion. Under no circumstance do we ever extend an offer to a candidate prior to the successful completion of that assignment. We apologize if you misunderstood the process and assumed an offer, and we will strive to be more clear with future candidates. We wish you the best of luck in your job search.
