Went through HireVue. Got asked basic SWE questions. 2 interviews on different days that were strictly behavior. Strange for an ML position. No technical questions about any models were asked.

The interview process for General motors was nothing out of the ordinary. The interview timeline was about 2-3weeks and included an initial video screen interview where you were asked questions through a 3rd party vendor followed by two 1hr behavioral interviews with the teams you'd be interfacing with.
The reason I am giving it a thumbs down was because I got good feedback and then when the recruiter contacted me following that it seemed like they were going to extend an offer. The recruiter just wanted to make sure we were still aligned on salary expectations. However, they bait and switched me by trying to place me in an area that wasn't where I wanted to be per our discussions. When I informed the recruiter they said they will ask about the agreed upon location because it was available and would get back to me. Recruiter never got back to me or responded to my inquiry about what happened.
