Very straightforward process: applied online, got a call from HR, then talked to the hiring manager, then set up one-day interview. The entire day was set up so I would meet with different team members of varying positions (from recent hires to executive directors). From the benefits, relo, and HR perspective, I think everything was done well. The process was very smooth and people in these roles were very friendly. However, I decided to decline the offer. Companies should realize that strong candidates/millennials like myself are looking for things more than just compensation. The culture at Gilead, from my perspective, was very toxic and not supportive at all. People seemed overworked and unhappy with their jobs. This is a tell to stay away if you can find a job that is less stressful, where you will be valued and have a good work-life balance. Good luck to anyone considering working here.
