First, I was asked to showcase a sample of my work and answer some follow-up questions. The questions focused more on my previous company’s structure rather and the design process instead of my personal interests and skills, which felt a bit off. Then, they explained the company and the interview process.
After checking a few Glassdoor comments, I felt it necessary to ask about the take-home exam. I inquired about how they evaluate the work and whether they provide feedback. They replied that there is a certain bar for interviewers to receive feedback, which would be given by their London team. In my opinion, this isn’t very respectful, given that candidates already spend a lot of time on the assignment.
Overall, the design leader seemed decent, but the whole process felt a bit messy.
