I was scheduled for an initial interview with a recruiter who was late on two separate occasions, with no prior notice or communication either time. After the fact, I was asked to reschedule with little more than a brief apology. First impressions matter. If clear communication and basic scheduling accountability are absent at the very first touchpoint of the hiring process, it raises genuine questions about the culture and expectations within the organization. I made the decision to withdraw my candidacy. I have no doubt the product is a strong one, but I believe a company's recruitment process is a reflection of its values — and this experience did not align with mine.
