Had an initial phone call with a recruiter, went perfectly well. Then went on to a Zoom call with the hiring manager and was completely insulted and was completely unprofessional. I was asked about my experiences and specific qualifications that they wanted for the role that was never written in the job description or expressed by the recruiter. There is a clear misalignment between what the hiring manager is looking for in a candidate and recruiting team, which is completely unprofessional and wastes my time. If certain things are a "must have," then be sure to add them into the job description to save everyone time. Please get your act together and if a candidate does not fit what you are looking for, do not insult their experience and level of intelligence in front of them during the meeting.
