The interview process from start to finish was fun, welcoming and unique. The recruiters and coordinators are easy to talk to, transparent and give you every tool to be a successful candidate. At other companies it feels like they try to trick you or make it harder than it has to be, but Gusto is clear with expectations and easy to work with. The process starts with phone conversations (recruiter and hiring manager) and brings you to an onsite interview.

I interviewed with Gusto and interacted with both the recruiter and the recruiting manager. After two rounds of interviews, I was completely ghosted without any follow-up or feedback. This lack of communication is highly unprofessional and reflects poorly on their recruitment process.

Bad candidate experience; took over a week to get a decision. After going through their entire process (almost a month long) they sent me a generic canned rejection email. Also during my virtual onsite interview they switched up the final interviewer without notifying me. This person interviewed me who has no experience in Recruiting.

A recruiter reached out to me via LinkedIn to set up an interview. After the initial phone screen, I moved to the manager phone screen. After speaking with the manager, I was told they'd be back in touch by the end of the week, after interviewing the reaminder of the candidates. I didn't hear back, so I reached out to them the end of the following week. The recruiter got back to me to expect an update by a certain date. The date passed by; after waiting an additional week following the date, I reached back out to the recruiter and was told the manager was out of office and they would be in touch by a new date. That was 3-weeks ago; I have no issues not moving forward, but getting a courtesy update, even via a generic email, would have definitely been a better experience versus getting the run around for over a month.
