Ho presentato la mia candidatura online. La procedura ha richiesto un giorno. Ho sostenuto un colloquio presso HCLTech (Bengaluru) nel mese di gen 2019
Colloquio
I applied through a job portal and within 2 days was called for face to face. I have over 12 years experience and was a Team Lead at the last job. This was for the new HCL Products Lab at Jigni. I wouldn't have applied to this company had it been for services. The senior candidates were sent to the interview directly (juniors probably took an aptitude test).
The interview was a disaster. I should have known looking at the wry smile on the previous candidate's face as he came out. It was conducted by two obviously junior level engineers. Their English was atrocious, but more importantly they kept asking pretty basic coding questions and never seemed like ramping up to questions suitable to my experience level, like system design and architecture. Their lack of experience showed in how they wanted to know implementation details of C++ vtable which is not a standard and no sane engineer would care about the nitty gritties, unless they are writing a compiler, and the JD didn't need that . Then they asked CS textbook questions that only recent graduates could try. Worst was the riddle question disguised as a system thread question. I refused to answer these silly questions and the interview ended, Further, I had a resume filled with interesting things (having worked on GUI and graphics of many scientific and engineering products, created cross language framework etc) but none of them was discussed at all.
I complained to the HR contact and she assured me that my resume will be considered for other products. I am not banking on it but wanted to point out that at least the HR was gracious enough.

the interview process is good. First round was face to face round and all othethe interview process is good. First round was face to face round and all others are virtual rounds. Communication with HR is good.rs are virtual rounds.
The interview process is quite confusing and unstructured. It starts with two technical rounds, followed by an HR round. However, even after the HR discussion, there is an additional manager round that is highly technical. The manager round is particularly frustrating, as it is initially presented as a 15-minute call but ends up lasting around 45 minutes, with questions asked in a rushed manner. Additionally, the feedback timeline is very slow, with about 10 days between each round. Because of these delays and the unclear process
