Bait and switch. I was very irritated by the fact that the job posting was for a RSD position, but when I arrived we discussed the MIT position. I remained positive and thought, maybe this is just the on boarding process. When I asked about the job posting, I was told that it was posted that way to attract people who are interested in that position and who have aspirations etc etc. But to actually get there, you'll have to start at the bottom and put in years of work etc etc. If I would have known that, I wouldn't have wasted my time.
