The interview process started smooth. First is a quick phone screen and then if selected you speak directly with the company CEO. I reached this stage and had what I thought was a fine conversation with the CEO David Hayes. It was the follow up that was terribly disappointing, especially coming from a recruitment firm. Hayes concluded the interview by telling me to think about if I really see myself in the position. He literally told me to let him know if I want the job, and then when I tell him yes, then he will connect me with more members from the team. After considering all my options I returned enthusiastic as ever, only to be told in a one line email "we went in a different direction." No further explanation.
