I think this question was to my demise as I don’t believe that cold calling is a very effective sales strategy (evidence suggests that it has about a 2% conversion rate). I suggested instead that I would work on building a more targeted strategy. This would include adding potential influences on linkedin and direct messaging, going to conferences and networking with people with buying power (targeted through customer profiling), email and social media marketing.
