At GS-12 level they will allow you to telework only 32 hrs in 2 Wks. At GS-9 which you can get it in a year, they will allow you only 10hrs in 2 wks. Any one who get firm offer pls update this thread. I've sent my paper work last week Wend. and still waiting for the firm offer. Do any one knows how long it takes to complete background check and suitability determination?

Have you tried contacting the HR rep for your questions? They are generally very helpful and responds to questions promptly. You can either email or call them.

I had when I received a second referred notice and was a bit more confused after the explanation but it was via email, I will try a phone call next thanks!!

Interviewed on 4/1 for SJ for BME still have not heard back, I know some heard yesterday, are there others still waiting as well?

Once offered a position, is the status changed immediately? Still seeing referred and I am assuming all offers have been made by now.

I applied for both GS-7 and GS-9; I was selected for GS-9 and not selected for GS-7, my status still says referred and when I expand it it says you were not selected for this position even though I already received my tentative offer and filled out OF-306. So, I am guessing, the status doesn't mean much.

Congrats to you, too. I submitted the OF-306 and official transcripts as well. I haven't gotten anything after that. The email I received states the same thing as yours, so I'm not really sure how this process goes. Let's keep each other updated.

Yes you can apply for multiple locations. Usually, there is only one interview, and then you are under the primary examiner's discretion to get selected for either location or both as far as I understood.

Yes you do, to be able to telework 100% of the time, you will have to reach GS-12, meet your quota, work at the office for two years, and pass the examination test or the certification test. You would have access to the USPTO systems using VPN once you telework.

No, my status did not change since I submitted OF-306. On this site, I read some of the applicants saying that they received final offer after 1-2 days of submitting the OF-306. Looks like for you they are going to take much longer to send the final offer. And BTW, did you say that you applied to Alexandria location?

On USAJobs, it still says “referred” but when you click on it, it says “you’ve been selected - we will contact you shortly”. I received an email and phone call with a tentative offer, but not sure how long we’re supposed to wait for the official offer or if accepting the tentative offer is binding.

Looks like you received the tentative offer letter on 5/27/20. Then you completed the OF-306. Today you received the final offer letter along with first day information. I did not understand why you said that it is not "official"? What do you mean by signing off on anything? Are you expecting any other version of the offer letter? Also, will you be working remotely? What is your start date in the Alexandria site?

Looks like HR has been busy with the onboarding of new hires in Alexandria who would be starting there in July. Final offer for hew hires for September, 2020 in San Jose might come by next week. If you have any other news, please share.

Never heard any one started on July. Mine started in Aug and still waiting firm offer. HR told me they gonna send the final offer in mid of July.

Got email today to prepare for the upcoming first day start including provide them my Internet Service Provider and confirm my address so that they will send all PE equipment . It sounds like they gonna do the training virtually. My start date is Aug 17, EE Alexandria.

I got the same exact email but I still haven't received the confirmation letter. I am super confused on what's going on and whether we are starting remotely or on campus. EE Alexandria as well.

I was told by HR few weeks ago that they will send the firm offer after the July class completed. So expect final offer some time next week. I called security office for finger print schedule they told me they're super busy and told me to call back on the last week of July. I'm guessing they're busy and try to onboard all of us virtually. May be for the first day of orientation we might go @ the main office and fill up all necessary paper work then get some kind of training on how we could connect virtually.

I finally got the confirmation letter for EE in Verginia today July 10th, I interviewed on April 15th, and received the tentive offer on May 27th

It says in Virginia at Clara Barton Auditorium on Dulany Street, but I received an email two days ago asking to confirm my shipping address and my internet service provider to send me some equipment because we are starting remotely. I believe we will get more info in the coming weeks

Thanks, I got same email on July, 7 and I email my ISP and confirm my shipping address. The email says patent examiner equipment can be shipped between 7/22/20 and 8/10/20, so we'll received all tools before the start date. Per your email we will report first st PTO and may be fill up some paper work like w-2, chose health insurance, life insurance, ...HR related paper works.

The training art group number is a generic number that won't translate into a TC. Once we're in the training they will tell us what TC and art unit we will be.

Just received this afternoon the confirmed offer letter for starting at San Jose location on 9/14/20. Interviewed on 4/1/20. It will be tele-working initially due to the pandemic. Best wishes to you all.

My start date is August 17th as well. As for the USAJOBS it's still says referred and hasn't updated yet. I didn't not get a firm offer. I submitted my transcripts and OF-306 a couple of weeks ago. If anything changes will update here and you do the same maybe if you can. Thank you
