Set me to a job, and let me do it. If it needs to change let me know, and leave it at that. I'm fine being criticized and I don't need a pat on the back. Something I dislike is being micromanaged. If you're here to micromanage me then why did you hire me when you could simply do the job yourself? That was my response and whether or not they passed it on to my supervisor (I doubt) or not I may never know. I may have to ask my supervisor if that was passed on. Now I'm curious. However, the thought that they at least asked sat well with me.
