Your experience is just like mine. I was sailing through and feeling good, but I still didn't really fully understand how to do all the slides. My nerves got the better of me and I made a lot of mistakes...forgetting to use props I had made, not doing the teacher directions on some slides, etc. He complimented me but pointed out how important it is to focus on the target sentences, the vocabulary words, and the lesson objective.. Also it took about a week for me to get the rejection letter. I was bummed man. I really wanna work here. But I was watching a video of another gal who went all the way thru Mock 2 like us and then messed up. She found out you can re-apply immediately if you use a different email address. I asked one of the mentors about this and they said yes you can. I took a couple weeks break because I was worn out from all the preparation. But I decided to try again and I have been watching every video I can find again and again. There are lots of great teachers sharing tips and tricks on youtube. Also my technology messed up and we had to spend the first 10 minutes of the class fixing that. This is such a good job I am willing to put the effort in. It is all just making me a better teacher. So don't get down on yourself. Teaching online, teaching ESL, TPR....these are some new things to me...I don[t know about you, but it took a while to sink in for me. Also my time was way too long. I got a digital timer and I am jolly well practicing that thing until I have it down. It prompted me to do the recorded lesson, so I don't have to schedule that...just do it on the portal when I am ready. So I am not rushed and I am NOT recording three mock lessons until I have practiced so much til I know it backward and forward. I really think it is worth it to get a job with this amazing company. Also....think about it, in college, we didn't just know how to teach and do everything after our first education class. We had to take four years of classes to learn all that is required. So, this is a whole lot shorter than that...and even though it is labor-intensive, everybody who works there seems to be saying they love it and it is worth the effort. Best of luck to you.
