International Public Sector Accounting Standards, UN system adopted the new standards in replace of former UN internal accounting standards in January 2012.

International Public Sector Accounting Standards (IPSAS), are international accounting & reporting standards that have been adopted by public sectors to standardize the accounting procedures of government institutions. They are  also being adopted by NGOs working with government institutions to standardize their procedures.
