I was contacted via a freelance contracting website, submitted a proposal and was hired not long after. Employer has been highly understanding of my schedule and any conflicts that have arisen from it since.

The 'interviewing' process wasn't exactly a full interview. Since the work is done through a contracting website, most of the 'interview' was a written proposal submitted to the employer with samples of my work. After that, it was their choice whether they wished to hire me or not.
