In my all my years of being in the workforce I’ve never seen such a pathetic interview process. I applied in November. Got an email in February asking if I could have a phone conversation. Had a call and then had an in person interview scheduled a week after that. Then, I had another interview that included a presentation (which I knocked out of the park). They said they would let me know by the end of the week. I followed up a couple of times to check on the status. No one replied and the portal said “in process.” I heard from the grapevine the position had been filled. I never heard back from Ivy Tech until I got a generic email from Work Day a couple of days ago. I know 100% I was the perfect candidate, and I cannot believe how I was treated. I wanted this position so badly that I was going to take a huge pay cut just to get it, and I was still rejected. I hope they found their unicorn.
Lesson learned, Ivy Tech. You want to grow your Career Connect and Industry training programs? Not with these hiring practices.
