I initially applied online. About a month later I had all but forgotten about this position when I received a call from them. After a brief conversation over the phone they scheduled me for an on-site interview. The interview went very well. My experience was a very good match with the qualifications. If anything, I may have been overqualified for the position, but I conveyed my strong interest. I was told they’d be making a decision very soon. I immediately sent a thank you email after the interview. Fast forward 2 weeks, I have another offer on the table and I still haven’t heard from them. I follow up to inquire about my candidacy and never received a reply - incredibly unprofessional. Needless to say I accepted the other position. The very least a potential employer can do is to provide status updates for those that interviewed for a position regardless of the final hiring decision. I don’t know what happened behind the scenes but its been almost 2 months and I see the position is still posted on their website
