I approached the owner of this franchise while working with another franchise owner, but for the same company. she said she needed an assistant manger for her new store and was excited i had approached he about it. after speaking with my current owner, the go-ahead was given to start the interview process. A week later, i sat down with her and her husband, the other owner of the franchise. they advised me of what i would be in for (long hours, fast paced, new store) and i said i was ready for it. a week after that, i sat down with the owners and investor of the franchise and was asked several questions of how i would handle certain situations as a manger. he liked the answers that were given and the next day the gave me a job offer. when i accepted, they said they would be sending me to Jimmy John's Training School as soon as possible. when i returned from the three week class in Champaign, IL, i worked out of their house until the store opened. the rest is history.
