Fairly relaxed which I appreciated. One phone call, one zoom meeting, and one site visit. Final interview seemed to have went well… by the end of it I was being asked “are you excited?” and “when can you start?”. I took this to mean that I would be getting an offer, so I quit my current job. I was extremely excited. Two weeks went by and I heard nothing. Emailed two different people and got a response that they were still interviewing other candidates. After six more weeks I decided to reach out again. After another week and having to reach out to the lead mechanic, I found out that they weren’t going to move forward with me. By this point I didn’t care that I didn’t get the job, but I was still frustrated by the lack of transparency and poor communication. If I didn’t have the lead mechanics phone number I feel that I would’ve been completely ghosted. I did however appreciate the fact that they reimbursed me for my travel expenses. I wish the company all the best, and I’m excited to see what they do in the future. Hopefully they don’t leave others hanging like that anymore though.
