Candidates had to wait for 15 minutes at a table in the store before the interview. We were then taken into a meeting room, we sat at tables of four or five with a staff member at the end taking notes. We were allocated seats with our name badges at them. We had around five minutes to introduce ourselves. We then read a brief and had to make notes before discussing it together for around 15 minutes. The brief was to plan a Christmas event promoting a popular toy, gadget and food/recipe. There was no individual interview. We were then asked to fill in sheets with our availability. There were sample rotas on the wall, we were told if any of the rota patterns worked to write down the number. I heard I was unsuccesful after a week but that I was a 'silver medallist', despite making an active contribution.

For this role we were just asked to do group discussions (5 mins preparation time + 15 minutes discussion), there were 5 candidates in each group and no individual interviews were involved. The examiners are all very nice, overall it was a nice experience.

It was a group interview with a scenario we had to work together on. It was a bit excruciating at times but I thought I contributed well and listened to the other candidates carefully. However, I was informed I had not been successful before I even got home! I asked for feedback but was told there were too many applicants for the company to have time to provide feedback. I was told I have been added to the Silver Medallist candidate bank. I’d really like to know why I was rejected as this would really help me move forward with my job hunting.
