It started out with a simple description of the problem and then in varying levels of difficulty, the conditions were revealed for how the system should be implemented. I think I answered it well. My variables weren't named appropriately but the code worked for all input combinations. Also, I had not used inheritance concepts while using an OO-language. Maybe that costed me ! I do not understand why I did not get the offer - code even covered the edge cases.
