It was a very bizarre and unprofessional experience. In their initial email which was littered with punctuation errors and typos, they were asking straight off the bat what my "expectations in terms of role, responsibilities, and schedule" were. I don't know, the ones advertised? Otherwise, I wouldn't have applied for the job, right? Were they trying to get me to interview myself or what? This was the first red flag. My reply to this abomination of an email was a simple "let's discuss all of this over the phone at your earliest" type of thing. Comes next Sunday around 12:00 PM. I receive a second email containing their availabilities which consisted of either Monday next day (!) or Friday, but not forgetting to ask me again about my "expectations in terms of role, responsibilities, and schedule". Second red flag. After spending more than an hour crafting my reply while analyzing every single "expectation / job role" outlined in the ad, I fire up an email choosing to have the phone interview the following day at 10:00 AM. Guess what? Not only have I never received that call but not even one single email to let me know what went wrong, even after following up with them one week later. So yeah, bottom line is to stay away from this company, and I've also learned my lesson - always trust your gut.
