Worst of the interview processes I have been through. Attended interview (10:30) & was specifically asked by the HR to not bring any hard copies of Resumé (though carried, but left the docs folder outside interview area). 1st round started after an hour of waiting on the scheduled time where interviewer asked for Resumé, should have been my first red signal. The questions were all theoretical and was stopped by the interviewer when I asked to write a pseudo code to explain, even though the invite mentions that this round will be a coding one. The interviewer was adamant to accept answers which had certain keywords in it, so explained with different terms. Was asked to have lunch (arranged by MakeMyTrip team) & wait for the 2nd round. This was supposed to be my 2nd red signal, since the gap was more than 5 hours. Exhausted & frustrated, 2nd round began and much to my expectation, repeated some questions which were asked in the 1st round. The interviewer went to other candidate after giving me a question and when returned, told that this was not the problem asked. With a smile I said there can be a confusion at either end & solved the problem within a couple of minutes (a variation of the question I got initially). I got the feedback from the interviewer that he didn't liked me smiling. After waiting for 90 mins and upon asking got to know that the next round will be telephonic as it was already late (19:30). Was about to leave the premises, when asked to attend the last hour long tech round. The interviewer was a senior person (only round where interviewer wasn't taking 2 interviews at a time) who asked me puzzles and generic questions. Last telephonic round with DoT also started an hour late. Got contacted by 2 HRs with different unacceptable offers. PS: don't waste candidate's time.
