I applied through Marriott’s website. About a week later, I got a phone call from a recruiter asking me for an phone interview. A couple days later, I talked over the phone and was told, by the recruiter, I will be moving on to the in-person interview phase at their Bethesda Headquarters. The Recruiter told me to expect an email, from a hiring manager, for information about the next step for the in-person interview. Well... about three weeks passed and I NEVER RECEIVED THE EMAIL. In order to get information about my application and the in-person interview, I called the recruiter- no answer so I left a generous voicemail. The recruiter never called me back, and two weeks later, I received an automated-messaged email informing me that “we will not be moving forward with your candidacy for this position”. Despite the recruiter telling me to expect an email for the next steps, they never followed through. This experience should let you know how Marriott International treats some of their applicants with a lack of transparency and professional courtesy.

It started with a phone call with an HR representative then moved forward to an in person interview with the supervisors of the position. The in person interview was nice and the managers I met with were very nice and easy going making the process much less nerve racking.
