      Colloquio

      Applied online and this interview spanned across a couple of months or so at the end of 2023. The interviewers are relatively junior as opposed other interviewers one might expect from. Do take note on two points that might be a deal breaker for some. First, the title that will be offered to you in that is that of a "consultant" rather than a "developer" despite how it was initially advertised due to the company's policies and rationale behind it. Secondly, there will be a one and a half year bond period as well if you do take up their offer, again due to the company's policies and rationale behind it.

      First round was mainly that with the HR while the second round was mainly a technical test with fellow "consultants"/"developers" and the last round was mainly with the managing director.

      Hi, thank you for your feedback. All Mavericks have a job title of “Consultants” regardless of whether their roles are Business Analysts, Mobile Developers, Full-Stack Developers, QA Specialists etc. The rationale for this was shared in our Leadership interview with you - We believe all Mavericks should adopt a consultant-like mindset in their personal and career development with an open mind and acquire a wide range of experience / expertise to be Mavericks in our field. Every Maverick is encouraged to embrace and develop a good mix of technical skills (ie. be a polyglot developer), be familiar with various best practices and methodologies, have end-to-end project development experience and develop the necessary soft skills (ie. effective communication and presentation skills, leadership skills etc) to collaborate well with others. We believe all these are important building blocks in our people's continuous learning journey towards being a top IT professional. And we are committed to make these happen for all Mavericks. As on the bond, this was a collective decision made by all Mavericks to ensure new hires are committed to continuous self improvement and in making the company and our clients successful. We do not want people joining the company as a stepping stone and quitting within a few months. We want to offer the opportunity to someone committed.
