      Candidatura

Ho presentato la mia candidatura tramite un selezionatore. La procedura ha richiesto un giorno. Ho sostenuto un colloquio presso Metamoki nel mese di ago 2011

      Colloquio

I was initially recruited to conduct a phone screen by their director of art. He's a really nice guy and was flexible with the phone interview time. We ended up having a brief chat which led to an in-person interview. The on-site interview ended up being 4 of their designers, including the director of art. Like I said, the art director was very professional, kind, and friendly during the interview process. They all asked reasonable questions about my design style and thought process. Besides the semi-intimidating nature of having 4 people interview you at once, I was completely fine with the way it was conducted. The big turn-off for me was the attitude of some of the employees. Two of the people who were doing the interview looked incredibly bored, kept staring at the walls (mind you, my portfolio was projected on the board so the least you could do is pretend to look at that), and didn't seem to really be listening when I responded to their questions. If an interviewee is taking time out of their schedule to meet everyone, the least you can do is pretend to be interested. Again, this was only 2 out of the 4 people who interviewed me. Their response time was decent. I think about a week later I was informed by the art director that I did not get the job. And I do appreciate that they responded, even if it wasn't a positive response. Overall, I think it could have been a good, perfectly normal interview if those two employees hadn't been so rude. If you don't want to do the interview, please don't waste my time. I must say that the other employees seem very polite though. When I arrived early to the interview, one of their engineers let me into the meeting room, gave me some time to set up my presentation, and even chatted with me before getting back to work. But then again, he wasn't the one who interviewed me.
