      Colloquio per Ophthalmic Technician

      21 giu 2018
      Dipendente anonimo
      Bloomington, MN
      Offerta accettata
      Esperienza negativa
      Colloquio facile

      Candidatura

Ho presentato la mia candidatura online. La procedura ha richiesto una settimana. Ho sostenuto un colloquio presso Minnesota Eye Consultants (Bloomington, MN) nel mese di mag 2018

      Colloquio

Phone interview followed by in person interview. The hiring manager and HR were full of themselves and came off snobby. Did not fully answer questions asked (about turn over rate and how they were going to address it) Follow up call with offer however unwilling to negotiate.

      Domande di colloquio [1]

      Domanda 1

      Can you handle work stress?

I'm sorry you didn't have a good experience interviewing with us, and you didn't feel that you received thorough answers to your question(s). It's always our intention to ensure all parties come away from an interview having all of their questions answered as we believe that the recruiting process is a mutual process and we want candidates to have all the answers to their questions so they can determine if MEC is the right place for them. I don't recall recently being asked about turnover, however, if I were asked that now I'd say that within the health care industry our turnover rate is low, but we'd like to see that even lower (from Jan 1 - today we've had 4% of our employees leave us for other jobs). To help understand how employees are feeling and to address concerns we've: - completed a Voice of the Employee survey which gave us some insights - formed an Employee Advisory Council to work through concerns from employees and management - developed a new hire survey to gather feedback about the recruiting and onboarding processes to ensure we are accurately representing our positions and are providing new hires the right training at the right time - developed an exit survey to gain insight into why people leave MEC and what we could do differently to reduce turnover In regards to us not being willing to negotiate on your offer, we take several factors into consideration when developing our offers, including but not limited to internal equity, market wages, pay ranges, experience and skills of candidate, reference feedback, etc. We take all of those factors and develop the best, most competitive offer that we can - which means that sometimes there isn't additional room to negotiate. I'm sorry you were expecting a different process.
