      Candidatura

Ho presentato la mia candidatura online. La procedura ha richiesto una settimana. Ho sostenuto un colloquio presso Mister Mobile (Singapore) nel mese di gen 2025

      Colloquio

I applied online through LinkedIn and was shortlisted. The hiring manager contacted me to ask a few questions about my roles and responsibilities. Current Status in Singapore: Could you please share your work pass status (e.g., Work Pass, PR, or Singaporean)? Current Compensation: Could you share your current remuneration package? Expected Compensation: What salary range are you expecting for this role? Notice Period: How soon would you be available to start, if selected? Work Preferences: Are you comfortable with our onsite work setup? Experience Highlights: Could you highlight a recent achievement or experience that you believe is most relevant to the HR Manager role? Industry Experience: Do you have experience in the retail or a similar industry as an HR Manager? Language Proficiency: How would you rate your proficiency in English and Mandarin? After I filled out the information, the hiring manager contacted me for a video interview. I was told to wait for two weeks as they were still interviewing the rest of the candidates. A few days later, I texted the hiring manager at 4 PM. She replied at 11 PM and asked me questions about my current and expected salary. She then scheduled a face-to-face interview for me with the CEO and IT Director and herself. During the face-to-face interview, the CEO introduced themselves and spoke about the company, its challenges, and mostly about things I had done before. The CEO emphasized that Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) must be in place, using the hiring manager as an example. The hiring manager couldn’t take it and seemed somewhat angry with the CEO, even commenting, 'You’ve spent 45 minutes talking.' After the interview, I thanked all the management and messaged the hiring manager. I could sense that I didn’t get the job because she hinted that she prefers people who listen to her and follow her 'style.' Before rejecting me the next day, the night before, she reposted the HR Manager role on LinkedIn. After being rejected, she email me saying that I wasn’t shortlisted for the role. I asked her for the reason behind the rejection so that I could improve for future interviews. She couldn’t provide a clear answer and simply said I didn’t fit. I responded by explaining that I had answered all the CEO’s questions and shared what I was currently doing. When I asked her again, she replied that I was 'not the best fit for this particular position.
