This interview consisted of a phone interview and a skills test. The skills test took place online and asked a variety of object-oriented and design questions. After about a week, I received a phone interview. The interviewer asked a multitude of questions related to data structures, design patterns, object-oriented concepts, and basic computer concepts like the difference between a thread and a process. After these questions, the interviewer asked to design a search algorithm for a particular case. Since the interviewer admitted to not being an engineer, I described the easiest-to-describe-but-worst-search-algorithm ever, the bubble sort. Probably not the best answer, but it is very easy to convey to a non-technical person over the phone.

2 rounds, 1 behavioural and 1 technical. 1st interview was with HR, had simple behavioural questions, 2nd round was with software engineer lead and another co-op student, had 2-3 questions.

The initial interview call lasted around 45 min with a long-winded recruiter, he went into granular detail about the company and it seems like an awesome place to work. Then was moved to a first-round screen where you did a pairing challenge. The interview itself was a good experience but I haven't received any feedback in a month. Obviously it wasn't a fit but at least have the decency to follow up with the candidates you schedule who are taking time out of their day to provide them feedback. I had reached out several times just to get some closure and no one has ever responded. That being said I wouldn't recommend this place based on the fact that you can't even get a simple yes or no email back from the team.
We apologize for the lack of response to your interview. We try to follow up with all candidates in a timely manner following their interview. Unfortunately, this did not happen in your case and we will try to be better in the future.

After talking to a recruiter, I was invited for a technical phone interview. The phone interview took about 30min. He first asked some questions regarding my resume, then he asked me some basic questions like what is the difference between process and thread. Finally, he tested me with a system design question. I prepared very well for this and answered all questions, and he seems to be positive about my answers, but the next week, I received an email from the recruiter saying that they decided not to move forward...
