I submitted an application, and a few days later I was approached by the internal recruiter showing some interest in my profile. She would like to book an interview with myself and the CEO (which is a bit strange for 1st stage interview). Remote interview was booked and no one showed up in the first few minutes. Luckily, I checked my email and got an email by the HR team (sent after the kick off time of the interview had passed) informing myself that the interview had to be rescheduled because "the CEO was in a meeting and couldn't join it" - Not a great feeling to have to be honest, but everyone has some bad days, so I've accepted to reschedule it for the next day. I finally had the interview with the CEO: it was a decent chat. I had the opportunity to speak about my experience and product design knowledge. It ended up with this last question: "Have you ever worked in Fintech?" - It definitely shows this person never look deeply for my cv, as it's quite clear I've never worked for Fintech companies before. After answering it, the interviewer was honest (which I appreciate) saying because I didn't have experience in Fintech I wouldn't be selected for the next stage - which is totally fine. But why was this not checked before? Definitely felt it's not a greatly organised place and both side lost some time because of it. Not a great experience, at all.
