The tasks themselves made sense and are overall relevant for anyone interviewing for similar positions. Was also good practice for certain skills that I had not used in a while, so I did not mind them at all. I got a standard rejection email after which was fine since I didn't exactly perform the best. -Technical round with Terraform questions and a basic cloud architecture question -Take home task of Terraform refactoring -Take home task with python scripting -Final round with k8s questions and code review However the process did grant insight into some major organisational problems with the company, with what happened after: I got contacted again with an additional task, which I figured fine, a bit unorthodox, but maybe another position opened up. But after finishing that task they simply ghosted me. Not only is that extremely unprofessional, but this suggests some big issues with the decision-making side of the company, if a startup - which are supposed to be lean and agile - struggles this much to make a simple hiring decision and communicate clearly, then I can only imagine the horrors that might go on inside when it comes to decisions about the product. Alternatively might just be bogged down with bad finances. Either way, this is such a bad impression that I can only suggest to AVOID.
