Very odd. The office is OK. It’s in a nice building, but looks like they got the space from a foreclosure and tried to make it “cool”. They tried pretty hard to be laid back to suit what millennials are looking for- ping pong tables, an air hockey table, etc. Applied, and was told to come to the office for an interview the next day. I went, and got a call within 2 hours that I was wanted back the next day for a second round interview where I would shadow for a day. For the first 2-3 months, you’ll be standing outside asking people to sign up to donate to a charity for a year. You get paid based on how many people sign up. They say about 1 in 30 people will sign up, but it’s probably more like 1 in 100. My shadow day: I arrived at the office about 15 minutes early. Their daily meeting ran late (by about 20 minutes). I shadowed an employee who was in their 10 month program. After 10 months, they are able to open their own office. I took a ride with a small team to the corner of a street where I watched them beg people who were waking down the street to sign up with them to donate $20 a month for a year. Went back to the office for my “final interview” and was immediately offered the position. I later declined the offer. This job isn’t for everyone, and even the person I shadowed said “anyone can do it”. The whole thing seemed like a pyramid scheme to me, with the CEO benefitting from everyone else’s hard work.
