      Candidatura

Ho presentato la mia candidatura online. Ho sostenuto un colloquio presso Nordstrom (Culver City, CA) nel mese di gen 2016

      Colloquio

I applied online and was contacted by someone at HR and had a phone call with the recruiter; then scheduled an in-person interview in their Culver City office. Overall, the interview experience was very stale and monotonous. I had two people interviewing me and it seemed like they were reading off a script vs letting the conversation flow. That interview format made me more nervous than a recent 1:2 interview I had that was more casual with conversation in between while being professional and them asking me the usual job interview questions. At the end of the interview, there was a "test" which required me to evaluate a product page and checking for grammar mistakes and spelling errors. Before that, the interviewers told me that after the "test" I would meet with the Sr. Manager in Production and have an interview with her. Well, after a few minutes, they collected my evaluation but told me that the manager was busy and unavailable -- I kind of figured I did not get into the "next round." In addition to a stale interview sessions, what really bugged me was when I was leaving they led me to the door and walked away... they did not even say goodbye. I know that it seems kind of petty to harp on, but it is simply good manners. The only person who greeted me as I arrived and bid me goodbye when I left was the receptionist who was super-friendly. After the interview, I never heard from them (and the recruiter) again.
