First, I applied online and then a few days later received an e-mail inviting me to do a phone interview. A few days later, I completed that and it was basic questions such as "why Nordstrom", "what are your strengths/weaknesses", "what are your goals"... etc. if you do well at at that (they tell you on the spot), they organize a meeting with the HR director of one of the stores you'd be working at. That one was all situational stuff. "How do you deal with an angry customer" "Tell me about a time you didn't reach a goal", "what would you do to ensure your work at Nordstrom is at its best", etc. If you make it past THAT, they organize for you to meet with a store director. That one was much simpler. They just want to know about you in general. Goals, school activities, etc. I think if you make it to meeting with the store director, you're safe.
