30 minute interview. Then nothing for 3 months which was fine because I wasn’t really interested but a friend referred me so I decided to still interview. The timing worked out because when I finally heard back from Novant I had just been fired from my other job. I decided to take a job at a staffing company because of the pay. I think I make lost more as a agency staffing guy!

Don't waste your time and energy. I was contacted via Indeed by a Novant recruiter as a potential match for their open recruiter role. Had the initial phone screen with the recruiter, which was a great conversation, and then was quickly set up with a panel interview with three members of the Wilmington team. Interview took place on Monday and went well. I was asked all of the typical interview screening questions by each of the individuals on the zoom call. I was told I could expect to hear back from the team before the end of the week. Friday arrives with silence from BOTH recruiters I had worked with throughout the process. I reached out for feedback or next steps, even a simple "sorry we went with someone else" and am still waiting for a response. The panel interview was 2.5 weeks ago.
As a recruiter, who has several years of experience with what goes on behind the scenes of the interview and hiring process, I get things happen, there are other candidates in process, etc. But at the very least, send your candidates the stale "thanks, but no thanks" email. Don't just ghost them.
