I've interviewed with Oliver Wyman three times now for the internship and entry-level consultant roles, and I've consistently found them to have one of the more off-putting processes of any equivalent consulting firm. I've interviewed for nearly all the Tier 2 and MBB firms, and across all of them, I've found OW consistently to be the most unprofessional. Whether it be playing good cop/bad cop in my interviews, answering questions inappropriately, asking odd trick questions, or providing no feedback/outcome (essentially radio silence) after interviews. While I understand these interviews don't reflect the firm as a whole, or the employees (I've met some absolutely lovely ones) OW (in the Australian offices at least) really need to be more careful about how they run their recruitment process - because I'm not the only one with this opinion. Across my entire network, OW has consistently been known to be the firm that has 'bad vibes' or the 'hardest/weirdest' interview process.
