Advertised an Operations Manager vacancy but switched it to a Duty Manager post on arrival. The interviewers were condescending, claiming my background was "lower quality." I kept it strictly professional, countering that quality doesn't differ; the sectors simply navigate completely different laws and policies, and I highlighted how residential management requires a different approach to addressing operational issues. The team weren't even near professional themselves. While waiting, I watched front desk staff kiss their teeth after a call and discuss stealing a resident's food delivery. They left me waiting past my start time with zero communication. Unstructured, disrespectful, and highly hypocritical.
Due to this I withdrew my application.
