Applied online. Shortly after, the Head of Portfolio Management reached out for a phone screening and then scheduled a one-on-one interview with a panel of five team members. The interview itself consisted mostly of straightforward questions. Throughout the process, the feedback during the interview was very positive, and I was explicitly told I would “have fun working here.” After the interview, there was approximately three weeks of silence despite weekly follow-ups. Eventually, I was informed that the firm was “not hiring anyone at the moment.” However, a candidate was hired into the role shortly afterward. Overall, the interview process was polite but lacked transparency and clear communication around hiring decisions and timelines.
