Colloquio per Senior Product Development Manager

      18 giu 2022
      Candidato anonimo a colloquio
      Austin, TX
      Nessuna offerta
      Esperienza positiva
      Colloquio difficile

      Candidatura

Ho presentato la mia candidatura online. La procedura ha richiesto una settimana. Ho sostenuto un colloquio presso Packed Party (Austin, TX) nel mese di mag 2022

      Colloquio

Zoom call for initial screening, followed by invitation to execute a (very vague) project (due in 2 days). Lastly, on-site interview that consisted of 4 rounds of interviews resulting in 4hrs total. Not a single question was asked about my project, no discussion on the 20hrs I put into it. Each round was the same questions just with different staff members. It became clear that the hiring manager fought for me to have the interview and within the first 5 minutes of meeting the CEO she was rude, condescending and aggressive. She seemed almost enraged that I had the audacity to apply and wasn’t seeking work directly in my previous career path. Towards the end of the interview, I met an employee with a very similar background that was praised for being one of their success stories…she wrote me off before she even met me. She raised her voice to me, slammed her hand down on the (kids height) conference table, seemed aggravated that I wasn’t applying for apparel companies her “friends” own in the area (which I had been). Please let it be clear that I know exactly how I spend my time. I’m and intentional person and an ambitious worker. This was one of the worst interviews I’ve ever had but at least I saw her true colors immediately and is probably why the position is still open. I asked the hiring manager what their demographic was and he said it changes to follows the CEOs age (31) and whatever she deems as cool. That’s not a good sign if you know anything about branding. After all that, I was shuffled out of the building —which the door was hard to find when I arrived and when I asked details about how to accessing the building before arriving I was told there were none. When I arrived there was a long outdoor staircase up to the second floor, padlocks on all the windowless doors and no lobby. What if I was in a wheelchair or had crutches? No follow up email was issued to tell me I didn’t get the role which I found very inconsiderate considering all my time and professionalism. The CEO is completely reactionary so if you take a position here, be prepared to be yelled at for anything she doesn’t agree with or understand. The employees all walk on egg shells, that is clear.

      Domanda 1

Why did you apply to Packed Party but not any of the apparel brands in the area?
