I submitted a resume and cover letter through a job site, in response to a posted job announcement. The recruiter got back to me right away, but she was very casual, somewhat unprofessional in approach. For example, she wrote to me after hours and over the weekend and expected me to be available for her with a very quick turnaround. The phone screening was brief, around 30 minutes, and pretty straight forward. The conversation took a muted turn however when I asked if the position was newly created, or if I would be filling an existing position. The recruiter stated that the position was "reconfigured" from some prior iteration yet did not provide further details. When I asked about goals and metrics for the position I also was not able to get straight answers from the interviewer. The interviewer did outline their selection process to me but they never called me back to inform me that I was not selected for the next round.
