Typically, the interview process is as such: you get a phone screening, then you go in for a 3 part interview, 30 minutes each, back to back to back. First with HR, then with the Quality Managers and Compliance Manager, then with the Director of Quality.
As I’m leaving the interview, the director mentioned there’s a new interview policy he’s implementing, but I might make it in without that. A few days later I get a call from the recruiter I was in contact with, saying they wanted me to come back for another interview, this time to present in front of a panel of engineers followed by a tour of the facility. After 1.5 hours of interviewing, I would be required to take another 2 hours to interview for this position. That’s ridiculous.
The recruiter also said that he himself and others involved with hiring thought this new additional interview requirement was ridiculous, and was very understanding when I turned down the request to come in for that.
