Applied online and was promptly set up for a recruiter screen. Used all the necessary buzzwords and got a follow up phone call with the hiring manager. Talked him through my experiences and I demonstrated that I had a good amount of marketing experience even though not specifically for the function, which was satisfactory enough to them.
I came onsite and had 2 hours of back-to-back interviews with 4 different managers that I would work with. There was no real structure to any of it; just a series of questions that they all individually came up with to see whether they liked me enough.
Eventually had lunch with my hiring manager at the end at which point it seemed he was trying to sell me on the position.
Since I had come from a smaller company, I was able to impress all of these senior managers in a larger bureaucratic corporation with my technical skills.
Recruiter called me a few days after the interview to give me the good news!
