I was contacted by a internal recruiter and scheduled a 30 minute phone call to learn more about the role. She was very informative and nice. I received a follow up email from other person who helped schedule a 30 minute interview with the recruiting manager. A few days later, I met with the recruiting manager who was also informative and nice. We spent most of the time talking about my experience. We went over the 30 minutes and he answered all my questions. I thought the interview went well, but got a rejection letter the following day. I was told, “Unfortunately, they informed you are not the right fit for this position at this time because the role requires more story-telling depth and they have other candidates that have this specific experience.” which I thought was a little odd since I was never asked anything about storytelling. At least they were quick in get back to me and letting me know. I wasn’t ghosted like other companies have done.
