A recruiter reached out to me no less than 4 times on LinkedIn. I know she was just sending me template messages that she sends to everyone but her 4th message of "I typically don't message people this many times but had to follow up because I feel you would be a perfect fit here"... I looked the company up. I was super impressed with the company and their reviews from current employees, as well as the pay structure of course. I responded when I was available and we set up a call for the following Monday (it was a Friday afternoon when we set this up). I did my research and was truly looking forward to speaking with her. She introduced herself, ask me to brag about myself and my accomplishments. Asked me to describe more of my current role, etc and I felt very confident throughout our entire conversation because of course, I agreed with her and think I would make a great addition to the team. She described the pay structure, the way employees are promoted, that I would "go the sales manager route" since I'm already a sales manager, asked if I had any questions and then instructed me to apply through Paycom's website. I applied, then messaged her the next day to let her know I had applied and ask when they were going to kick off hiring. About 2 days later I was rejected without any sort of follow up interview or call.. Bizarre and made me feel like I was just part of a quota she had to meet for # of referrals submitted.

Long process and have to set meetings in front of a manager on the phone. They have you come into the office and make cold calls without knowing the product at all.
