Was asked by a former colleague (who moved to PepsiCo) to apply by referral. Went ahead and sent the cv filling in an old-style application form. Received rejection by HR after 2 days, then an email from my former colleague telling me his boss saw my CV and loved it. Had a call with his boss (hiring manager) not organized by HR. Call went well, hiring manager told me he was impressed. Former colleague emailed me praising my performance in the interview. Then never heard back from anyone again…

The overall interview process was good, however there was some disconnect between what the role highlighted initially and what the technical interview had to say about it. That meant that there wasn’t enough clear communication between HR, the hiring consultants and the management.
