Colloquio per Front End Operations Manager

      28 mag 2013
      Candidato anonimo a colloquio
      Woodstock, GA
      Offerta rifiutata
      Esperienza positiva
      Colloquio facile

      Candidatura

Ho presentato la mia candidatura online. Ho sostenuto un colloquio presso PetSmart (Woodstock, GA) nel mese di set 2011

      Colloquio

I completed the on-line application process which was straight forward and easy to complete. I was called in for an interview two and a half weeks later where I was then interviewed by the stores site manager. Typical interview process. Asked: Previous work history-please explain, Do you like working with people and pets? Are you uncomfortable working with any specific animals? If hired, how long would you expect to work with this company? Do you have complete schedule availability 24-7 ? , can you lift more then 50 LBS repeatedly? How have you handled a unsatisfied customer or employee in the past? (answer both- provide examples), and would you be comfortable working multiple positions with in the store? The interviewer spent a surprising amount of time explaining Petsmart's corporate culture and the details of what is inspected of the job applicant rather then asking deeply probing questions about the interviewees background. that honestly surprised me and I left the first interview feeling like it was almost "too easy" and landed the job. I was told that I would have a follow up interview with the stores assistant manager and arranged to have that interview about one week later. This interview was far more intensive however. I was asked the same questions as before, but had my responses cross examined meticulously by the stores assistant manager. I was rigorously questioned on my past work history and relevant past experience and was surprise to be asked many of the same questions by the same interviewer that had been asked of me less then an hour ago. I got the impression that the interviewer was attempting to verify the validity of my responses by my ability to recant answers. I also got the impression from the assistant manager (by various facial and behavioral tells0 that the position that I was interviewing for had already decided upon and that interviewing me was ether a redundancy or a chore. I was called back in for a third and final interview with the main store site manager a day later. There, I was told that I tied with another candidate and that they were determining which of the two of us was best suited for the position. Final thoughts on the interview process: Lengthy and drawn out, but not difficult or uncomfortable. Many of the interviewers "give away" what they are thinking by obvious tell are also spend to much time discussing the company- and not the qualifications of the candidate.

      Domande di colloquio [1]

      Domanda 1

If hired, Would you be willing to work random swing-shifts working at all hours. " We need some one to unload trucks of dog food at 2 AM and then work the service the service floor from 9 AM until 7PM".
