      Colloquio

The interview process was straight to the point. There was no hard questions to answer. The interviewer was pretty down to earth and nice. They asked about my previous experiences with law firms. What was I looking to do in the next 5 years if my life. They asked why I was looking to work for this company. Bottom line the interview process was easy and not hard.

      Colloquio

I applied directly through the company's website and got a call from an HR rep. We spoke on the phone about the position. After speaking with her, I was not sure it was the right fit for me, especially because the pay was pretty low (and hourly instead of salaried). I told her that I would only be able to consider an offer at the higher end of the pay scale that she provided. I did not expect to move forward in the interview process because of my pay requirements. Surprisingly, I received a call back a day or so later to schedule an in-person interview. I arrived early and the HR rep was late, so I interviewed with another HR rep who had neither seen notes from the phone interview nor reviewed my resume previously. Finally, the original HR rep returned from her long lunch and asked me the same questions all over again. They then had me take a series of tests that included typing, filing, editing and some other basic skills. The tests seemed more appropriate for a middle school computer class than for a professional environment. After reviewing my test results, the HR rep was impressed and that my skills match their expectations. Then she told me that the position's manager was busy and couldn't meet with me. She instructed me to either wait in the lobby or leave the building and wait for a phone call, at which point I could return to finish the interview. I thought this was very unprofessional and disrespectful of my time. The manager then showed up and said he was ready, so I didn't end up having to leave and come back. The manager was not very friendly and had an extremely inflated ego. He mentioned that he went to the same university that I did and then talked about how high his GPA was. He said that he writes people up for being a minute late and doesn't like it when people ask him questions or ask for help. He never smiled or gave any feedback. I've had a terrible boss before and he seemed even worse. I left the interview feeling like I wasted my time. I decided that even if I got an offer, I would turn it down. That being said, I did not expect an offer because I didn't get along super well with the manager. I was also asking for more money than some of the people their temp agency was sending over. If anyone is asked to interview for this firm, I would recommending that you not waste your time, unless you are really desperate for a job.
